Nestled in the heart of beautiful Exmoor, The Notley Arms Inn is a traditional British pub and restaurant, re-built in the 1870’s, where great food, relaxed comfort and genuine hospitality come together. Set in a charming village location, our historic inn combines rustic charm with modern comforts, making it the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway, a memorable meal, or a special celebration.
With our main bar area- perfect for a pint of local ale with homemade pork scratchings- main restaurant, garden room, and The Roost (our private dining room) there is plenty of space to accommodate all of our guests, your families, your pets and anyone else who wants to come along!
THE PUB
The Main Bar
Our traditional bar is the warm, beating heart of the pub. With its cosy atmosphere, local ales, fine wines, and friendly service, it’s the perfect place to unwind—whether you’re catching up with friends or settling in beside the fire after a day exploring the moor. Visit for a coffee, stay for lunch, treat yourself to a cream tea, indulge in dinner and make a day of it.
The Restaurant
In our restaurant, you’ll find thoughtfully crafted dishes that celebrate the best of local produce. From hearty classics to refined seasonal plates, our menu is all about flavour, freshness, and a touch of Exmoor character. Our menu expresses our love of using local produce, and ranges from Barries famous Scotch Egg (yes they are back!) for a light snack, to Local Venison Sausages, South West caught Crab, or a tender steak that has been dry aged in one of our special fridges- there is something for everyone here at The Notley, we are happy to cater to all needs.
The Garden Room
Light-filled and overlooking the mature garden, the Garden Room offers a relaxing space for dining, playing cards, catching up with friends sitting round the fire, or simply a place to enjoy a drink after a long hard day. With space to let the little ones run free in the garden, it’s the perfect place to keep an eye whilst enjoying what The Notley has to offer.
The Roost- Private Dining Room
For those moments that deserve something extra, our private dining room provides an intimate setting for celebrations, meetings, or bespoke dining experiences. Enjoy personalised service and a space that’s entirely your own. With its own media & entertainment system, The Roost is the perfect place for your private dining needs, so please get in touch to learn more about what we can offer- small weddings, birthday parties, functions and more (can seat up to 40 people).
STAY
Stay the night in our coach-house, which is home to our 6 cosy, comfortable well-appointed en-suite rooms. Each designed with comfort & charm, to reflect the character and heritage of the inn while offering all the modern amenities you need for a restful stay. We also have 2 single rooms above the Garden Room, the perfect place to rest your head after a long day, equipped with everything you need, just little smaller than standard. Wake up to a delicious breakfast and the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside, making your visit to Exmoor truly unforgettable.
